SASSE World of Work Programme

Bridging the Classroom and Community

At St. Andrew’s School for Special Education (SASSE), we believe every student possesses unique strengths, dignity, and the potential to contribute meaningfully to our community.

Our World of Work Programme offers older pupils a gentle, supported transition from classroom learning to practical life. By welcoming a student into your workplace, your business helps foster self-reliance, confidence, and true community inclusion across St. Andrew’s Parish and Grenada.

Building Independence. Unlocking Potential.

Partner with St. Andrew’s School for Special Education to create meaningful, supportive work-experience opportunities for our young adults.

How the Programme Works for Host Businesses

We design every placement to fit smoothly into your daily operations without putting extra strain on your staff:

  • Flexible & Manageable Schedules: Placements are light and structured—typically 1 to 2 days per week for 2 to 4 hours per session, allowing students to learn without disrupting your work routine.

  • Prepared Candidates: Before entering any workplace, students receive pre-vocational preparation at SASSE covering punctuality, professional conduct, task focus, and courtesy.

  • Dedicated SASSE Support: A school staff member or job coach accompanies or conducts regular visits with the student to support onboarding, guide task learning, and assist your team every step of the way.
